Article Published
A lengthy article featuring William's work has appeared in the gastronimical journal published by celebrity chef Michel Roux Jr., one of William's collectors. The journalist probed William for his inspiration behind his cook paintings. The article reprinted images of William's paintings in the collection of Michel Roux. Some of the paintings can be seen at Roux's London four star Michelin restaurant 'Le Gavrouche .' The restaurant was founded by his father in 1967 and displays the artwork of Chagall, Picasso and Miro in addition to several paintings by William Rose.
Return to England
In February, William established himself back at his country home in England in the Mendip Hills. He is in studio busily preparing for an August exhibition in Bath, an October exhibition in London on Cork Street, and November exhibiton in the Cotswolds village of Burford.
William prefers a ferry crossing when returning to England from the Continent and fancies that he would have liked to have been a sea captain if not a painter.

Investigations in France
While on holiday in Cannes, William visited the new Bonnard Museum which opened in 2011.
William walked the country footpaths of Van Gogh and felt the melancholic poetry of St. Remy-de-Provence where Van Gogh painted 150 works whilst institutionalized there.

In January, William printed a limited edition of lithographs with Gianni Octaviani in Citta di Castello before heading to France.
